Today Barack Obama held a rally at Victory Landing Park in Downtown Newport News. Victory Landing Park is a beautiful area overlooking the James River and was a great outdoor location for the President-elect Obama to speak. So many people were so excited and eager to get a chance to hear Obama speak in person (it's approximated that around 18,000 people attended), and this was the perfect opportunity to do so, as no tickets were required like they were in past rallies like the one held in August. With a month before November 4th, this may be the last time Senator Obama makes it to Hampton Roads before the election. Although I was unable to get a close-up shot of Barack this time, I was able to when I attended the Chesapeake Obama Town Hall Meeting; this photo is from that event.
